about the work

I intend to make indigenous (local to Fleurieu Peninsula) plant forms and introduced (weed) forms in porcelain.

The local plant forms will be constructed using slip cast forms made from natural objects found on the Port Willunga beach (like cuttlefish bone, shells, pebbles etc).

The introduced forms will be formed using the same method but the components will be made from slip cast rubbish (plastic, rubber etc) collected from Port Willunga beach.

These works will be small, light and made from porcelain, wall mounted to suggest specimen display.
