Louise Flaherty is an artist based in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory currently working as Arts Program Manager for Barkly Regional Arts, which covers the Tennant Creek area and the surrounding Barkly region. Louise is a graduate of the Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours), South Australian School of Art and is currently predominately working in ceramics, video and textile installation.
Louise's work is reflecting the beauty of mundane everyday objects and her video work is non-narrative, meditative and slow moving and is simply recording beautiful and simple everyday occurrences in nature.
Works for artroom5 will combine film, porcelain cast works and sound, capturing the simple beauty and sadness of individual trees locating in and around Tennant Creek
