Tjapakula (Mary Brumby) was born in 1958 and is married with many children and grandchildren and spends her time between Indulkana and Mimili communities and her homeland at Echo Hill. She is a lady of many talents: a keen weaver of tjanpi, she paints, prints and makes natural jewellery and punu (wooden artefacts) for sale. She was one of the original lino printers at Indulkana.

Tjapakula likes to paint in vibrant colours true stories or depictions of community and country.
